L.I.T. participants attend camp for one three-week period. The main focus of the first-year-training program is the teaching of hard skills, such as, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, off-site tripping,
camp crafts, and teamwork. (See LIT Program PDF for details and application instructions. ).

Please note that on-line registration is not available for leadership programs.

Leadership-In-Training Program: fees $800.00

Skills #1 Sunday July 8 to Saturday July 28
Skills #2 Sunday August 5 to Saturday August 25

Camp Simpresca’s Counsellor-in-Training Program builds on the LIT program to develop both hard and soft skills necessary for future camp counsellors. These skills are also useful for future careers working with children and youth. CIT's attend camp for the entire summer.

We are looking for individuals who possess qualities such as:
- Enjoy working with children
- Have a mature responsible outlook with a keen sense of fun, flexibility and spontaneity
- Are looking to learn new skills
- Are willing to participate fully in the program.

If you feel that you are a fit for our program then we want to hear from you. Unfortunately we may not be able to accommodate everyone who wants to participate.
(See Counselor in Training Program PDF for details on how to apply. )
